How to ask Spirit for a sign

It’s a wonderful feeling when we receive a sign from Spirit and we just KNOW inside that it is a sign from one we love. Mostly these signs are Spirit’s way of telling us they are with us still and signs can bring much comfort to us.

However, if we are going through a decision in life and we would like Spirit to guide us, sometimes a sign can be a little confusing. Is the sign telling us that Spirit are with us?  Is it guiding us to go ahead with our plan, or not to? Is it a warning for us or to be taken as a green light to go ahead with what we had in mind?

The good news is we can build up signs with Spirit over time. Like for some unknown reason a red light from Spirit to me is Paris. I have nothing against the beautiful city but if I ever see a sign of Paris in any form, I know this is a loud NO from Spirit. Once when I was looking for a new home I came across a beautiful house that seemed perfect for us. But in the living room was a picture of Paris. Immediately I turned down the property. Sometime later I was pleased with my decision when I found out some things I hadn’t known about the property but Spirit clearly had, although at the time I just sounded crazy. (yes, the property is perfect, but that picture in your living room is a sure sign it is not for me)

We can build up Spirit guidance through signs by being alert and taking note of what is happening around us.

Mary knows that if a bird appears when she is doing anything major in her life then it is a sign from Spirit to go ahead. She first came across this sign years ago when she was looking at a property, a huge bird appeared on the window pane and she felt it was a positive sign from Spirit. Since then she has looked for a bird to come beside her when she has made any major event in her life or work. If a bird doesn’t appear she takes it as a sign to think more about what she is to do. This has worked for her for over thirty years. She has a successful business and a full abundant life, she believes this is all down to looking out for her sign and trusting in Spirit to guide her destiny.

This sign would not work for me as birds very rarely come and stop beside me. That is the amazing thing about Spirit signs!

Spirit signs are personal.

If you don’t have any Spirit signs that you feel guide you, you can ask for one.

How to ask for specific spirit sign?

This works for me every time. Whenever I have a decision to make and I want Spirit guidance I do the following.

I sit down alone for a few moments and relax. Then I ask my question clearly.

I make sure my question is clear and not a double-sided question. Like, should I move house or not? That would be a double question as when you receive your sign you wouldn’t know if it was to move house or not to move house. Instead I would ask my question like this.

If moving house is in line with my destiny send me a sign to confirm it.

Then, this is the fun bit, I am very specific in the sign I ask for. I have asked for all types of signs in the past, including once I asked for a sign of blue grass!

Once I have sent my plea into the Spirit world I continue with my life. If I don’t receive my specific sign then I rethink what I am doing. If I do receive my sign then I go ahead with my decision. Doing this always works for me and I wish I had learnt it decades ago.

The sign can come in many forms. In a physical form, in an image, a picture in a shop you enter, a program on the TV, a gift from someone. My sign of blue grass came to me through an email the next day called blue grass and was an image of a field with beautiful blue grass.

Asking for a specific sign can help you to communicate with your loved one in many ways. Random signs are often Spirits way of saying hello, but specifically asking for a sign can help you have a direct link to communicating with them.
